Communications & Activities Department

The Communications Department creates strategic marketing plans and publications to promote city initiatives and programs. On a regular basis, it handles the city’s contact with a range of constituents including:

  • local and national media outlets on digital, tv, print and radio platforms
  • residents
  • businesses and
  • government agencies

The Department publishes a quarterly magazine on a seasonal basis, manages social media and the city’s website, and creates collateral materials required to support department activities.

The Department also manages annual city activities and events such as:

  • State of the City
  • Memorial Day Parade
  • July 4th fireworks
  • Summer Festival
  • Holiday Lighting Ceremony
