Gas Line Replacement Project Runs 2/25 - 7/1

Gas Line Replacement Project Begins Week of 2/25

Gas lines will be replaced on 10 streets during a $1.4 million project that will last through the end of June 2019. Traffic will be maintained at all times, and any affected tree lawns and sidewalks will be restored when the work is finished. There will be no street parking in areas where work in underway, and temporary signage will reflect this.

Streets scheduled for gas line replacement include:

Garden Blvd.

Warrensville Center Rd.

There is no direct cost to residents for the replacement of 14,000 feet of piping and 240 service connections. Other key details:

  • Work will be handled Mondays through Saturdays
  • Regular school bus routes will be maintained
  • There will be minimal interruption of service, with a roughly 4 hour break when a resident’s gas line is being addressed, and service will be restored by the end of the work day. Also, notification will be delivered before the interruption occurs.

The occasion for the project is the age of pipes which dates back to the mid-1950s. The work is proactive and will prevent further deterioration of old pipes. Any questions can be directed to: Joe Horn, HM Miller Construction, 330.628.4811.
