1. Are there any grant programs for new or existing businesses?

2. How many businesses are in the city?

There more than 600 businesses located in the city.

3. Are there Census Tracts in an Opportunity Zone?

Yes. We have three census tracts; 1881.04, 1881.05 and 1881.07 which represent 90% of the city parcels. There are development opportunities in the following zones: mixed use, retail, apartment, and commercial, single family and multi-family.

4. How can I determine if the kind of business I want to operate is permitted at a given location?

Economic Department or Building Service staff will be able to answer your questions in regard to permitted uses of land. Some uses are permitted 'by right,' which means that no special approvals are needed, while others may be 'conditionally permitted.' Conditionally permitted uses of land generally require Planning Commission review and approval. Contact Economic Development Director, Jerome A. DuVal at 216-587-1136 for more information.

5. Where I can obtain a list of available locations for lease or sale?

6. When is the Mobile Food Pantry?

The food pantry occurs every 2^nd Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or until all the food is gone.

7. How do I apply for the Exterior Maintenance Program?

You must be a resident, have code violation(s) and submit an application. Contact Raymon Turner, Community Development Manager, at 216-587-1144 for more information.
