Population

The City is an inner-ring suburb of the City of Cleveland. Home to more than 13,500 residents, nearly 4,000 families, and more than 1,300 businesses. This emerging first-ring suburb is located minutes from I-271, 422 and I-480, making its location ideal for major corporations, developers, and retail giants.

Healthcare

Primarily a residential community of beautifully maintained neighborhoods, it also has a thriving and engaging business community. The City is home to one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in Northeast Ohio, South Pointe Hospital. The Cleveland Clinic affiliate provides quality health care to Warrensville Heights residents as well as to our neighboring communities.

Economic Development Department

Our Economic Development Department is made up of the economic development director and the community development manager, who combine their efforts to ensure that the economic climate of Warrensville Heights stays at a desired level. Our Economic Development Department staff works to attract new business, develop new housing, secure municipal assisting grants from the city and residents, and help retain existing businesses here in Warrensville Heights.

Master Plan

In 2001, government leaders, local business stakeholders, and residents developed the City of Warrensville Heights Master Plan to advance Warrensville Heights as a signature city by providing a pro-business climate that attracts and retains quality jobs, businesses, and home buyers. The City's objective is to achieve economic self-sufficiency by becoming an employment center as well as a residential community.

There have been incredible strides made in Warrensville Heights. Over $180 million dollars in new private investments were initiated including 1,400 new jobs, and over 950,000 square feet of new commercial office space. In addition, over 50 projects were completed during this course of time.
